Our Vikings Squad is a supportive, inclusive introduction to swim training. This squad acts as a bridge between learning to swim and training to compete.
Our Jorvik Swim Academy swimmers who pass Stage 7 are invited to join the Vikings Squad, and equally any swimmer of Stage 7+ ability can apply for a trial session.
Vikings Squad members swim 3x a week and are expected to attend at least 2 of these sessions as a minimum.
Our Vikings swimmers are expected to represent Team Jorvik at our annual Jorvik Galas, and have the opportunity to compete at other Galas throughout the year.
SQUAD FEES.
Squad fees are charged per month, with one month’s notice required for any swimmers wishing to leave the club. Payments are taken via GoCardless.
All members are affiliated to Swim England, Swim England North East and Yorkshire Swimming Association. These fees cover insurance for the swimmers whilst training with the Club and competing in galas. The fees are set by these organisations each year and are subject to change. Members joining part way through the year will still have to pay the full fee. The Swim England payment is taken via GoCardless annually and the fee information can be found via the button below.
